THF Internship Orientation

FOX hosted a virtual networking session to officially close out the 2 ½-day THF Internship Orientation, Now Streaming. The FOX team provided the incoming internship class with constructive coaching and techniques to assist them with networking virtually and in-person.

Attendees received FOX’s invaluable list of tips on how to prepare and present oneself while networking.

45 interns received 20-minute one-on-one information interviews by representatives from seven FOX business units (Campus, Entertainment, News, Sales, Sports, Tech and Television Stations).


A 2021 summer intern had the following to say about the virtual internship orientation…

2021 Virtual Meet & Greet Networking Event

FOX also participated in this virtual networking event as a Diamond Plus Sponsor, the highest level of sponsorship.

77 – THF Alumni and graduating seniors from the 2021 Final Talent Pool, and Future Now Alumni joined the Meet & Greet

Marsheila Hayes, VP, Diversity & Inclusion at FOX, provided all candidates with a 3-minute overview of FOX Corporation.

21 – candidates who had the opportunity to meet individually with FOX representatives in its Welcome Room, a virtual networking space/booth.

30 – candidates engaged with FOX’s Content (Banner Ad, Sponsor Profile) on the Meet & Greet app where FOX featured post-grad opportunities for candidates.

The results are in…

93% of candidates reported gaining more confidence when approaching recruiters

72% of candidates left the event knowing about more opportunities within the entertainment and media industries

Company representatives were impressed by the quality of candidates and resumes. A number had three or more connections for interviews following the event.

FOX hires

Jarrell Canty (alumnus, THF ’18 and ‘19) was hired as Coordinator, Sports Brand Partnership with Fox Sports Network in March 2021. This is Jarrell’s first full-time role since graduating from college.

Kiara Jones  was hired as a Podcast Coordinator at FOX News.
