The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens
and celebrates the exciting new era of the moving image on and offline.
I am proud to announce that the T. Howard Foundation is the winner of three Telly Awards for our 27th Annual Diversity Awards Event video. The video captured one silver and two bronze awards in the following categories:
![]() Bronze Telly Branded Content: Not-for-profit |
![]() Silver Telly Branded Content: Virtual Events & Experiences |
![]() Bronze Telly Branded Content: Remote Production |
In the spring of 2020, during the pandemic and two weeks before the 2020 awards dinner was scheduled, we were forced to close the Foundation’s doors, work from home, and cancel the Diversity Awards Dinner. Fortunately, our supporters stood by us and honored their pledges, which enabled the Foundation to continue to operate.
To thank our many supporters, Judi Lopez, our board chair, and I decided to develop a Diversity Awards Video. The video would feature the presentation of awards to our honorees and acceptance remarks, and display the wonderful digital ads our supporters developed for the event. We formed a team and, under the direction of Brook Altman, an Emmy Award-winning TV producer, developed the video, featuring high profile talents such as Tracee Ellis Ross, Trevor Noah, John Leguizamo, and Grant Hill.
Thank you members of the award-winning team: Judi Lopez, Fuse Media and THF Board Chair; Sarah Giannakopoulos, VP, Operations & Development, THF; Paul Reitz, Events Consultant; and Brook Altman.
