In the spring of 2020, during the pandemic and two weeks before the 2020 awards dinner was scheduled, we were forced to close the Foundation’s doors, work from home, and cancel the Diversity Awards Dinner. Fortunately, our supporters stood by us and honored their pledges, which enabled the Foundation to continue to operate.

To thank our many supporters, Judi Lopez, our board chair, and I decided to develop a Diversity Awards Video. The video would feature the presentation of awards to our honorees and acceptance remarks, and display the wonderful digital ads our supporters developed for the event. We formed a team and, under the direction of Brook Altman, an Emmy Award-winning TV producer, developed the video, featuring high profile talents such as Tracee Ellis Ross, Trevor Noah, John Leguizamo, and Grant Hill.

Thank you members of the award-winning team: Judi Lopez, Fuse Media and THF Board Chair; Sarah Giannakopoulos, VP, Operations & Development, THF; Paul Reitz, Events Consultant; Brook Altman; and yours truly Jo Pamphile, President & CEO.
