T. Howard Foundation host partner companies are committed to increasing ethnic diversity in the multimedia and entertainment industry workforce.
Host Companies play an integral role in our program by creating and providing the enriching internship experiences that our students participate in. With their support our students are placed in a variety of departments and engage in resume building experiences that set them on a path for success in the industry.
Our talented Final Talent Pool of students is comprised of students of color ranging in ethnicity, geographic location, academic major and experience. T. Howard Foundation interns are bright, energetic, reliable and talented young adults, eager to learn and ready to contribute to our host companies.
With committed Host Companies and our outstanding students the Foundation has experienced great success and is poised for an even brighter future.
- Since 1995, the T. Howard Foundation has placed over 500 interns in full-time paid summer internships throughout the multimedia and entertainment industry.
- Sixty (64) different companies form the multimedia and entertainment industry have served as host companies for T. Howard summer interns.
- At least 140 T. Howard interns have been hired as permanent employees in the industry many rising rapidly into Executive Level positions.
- The Class of 2011 represented 45 different institutions across the U.S.
Host Company Partnership Commitment:
- Host a T. Howard Intern and provide them with a meaningful work experience that will contribute and support the their academic studies
- Provide a paid internship opportunity from June-August that is no less than 35 hours per week over a minimum eight-week period
- Pay undergraduate interns a minimum of $10.00 per hour
- Pay graduate interns a minimum of $12.00 per hour
